About the Farm

The grower
behind the packet.

LERAE FARMS, LLC is a Utah limited liability company farming open ground at 12800 N 1200 E, Lewiston, Utah 84320, in Cache County's north valley. The farm exists on a simple claim: a crop grown in the open, on a known parcel, under a recorded rotation, beats a crop nobody can trace. Every variety we grow has a field, a season and a ledger.

How the Parcels Are Run

A rotation, a ledger,
and a fence line.

Parcel A carries the heavy rows — tobacco, cotton, cane, beets and the fiber and oil-adjacent specialties. Parcel B is hay country: five meadow varieties cut and cured on their own schedule. Parcel C is the seed operation — eleven plots run under isolation distances and purity checks that hay never needs.

Parcel D is the specialty bench — herbs, hops, mint, chicory, amaranth, aloe, spice, tea and the licensed green rows: hemp, cannabis and marijuana, cultivated only under current state permits. Parcel E is the sugarbush — sap gathered, concentrated and reduced to pure maple at the field edge.

Every parcel keeps its own rotation ledger, water record and harvest log. A variety that can't be traced to a field doesn't go in the book.

Standing Field Rules

Three rules the
farm runs on.

RULE · 01

Every row has a ledger.

Planting date, variety source, water, inputs, harvest window and buyer — logged per parcel. Traceability isn't a marketing word here; it's how a seed plot stays certifiable and a buyer stays confident.

RULE · 02

Licensed rows stay licensed.

Hemp, cannabis and marijuana are grown only under current state permits with required testing, registered acreage and compliant sales channels. Tobacco and specialty crops follow their own marketing rules. No permit, no row.

RULE · 03

Honest season, honest answer.

Fields answer to weather before they answer to contracts. When a season shortens a crop, we say so early, offer the alternatives and never sell a variety we can't deliver as described.

The Crop Year

How a variety moves
from row to buyer.

From staked row to shipped lot, every variety follows the same five-beat season — so a buyer always knows where the crop stands.

Grower's Answers

Asked at the fence.

Do you actually grow all forty-two varieties every year?

The parcel book is the full catalog of lines we operate; any given season's acreage is set by rotation, water, permits and market. Buyers reserve specific varieties per season — the book tells you what we're set up to grow, the season sheet tells you what's in the ground now.

How do you handle hemp, cannabis and marijuana lines?

Only under current state licensing — registered acreage, required THC testing, compliant transport and licensed buyers. Where open-field cultivation isn't permitted, those rows simply aren't planted. We'll confirm legal status and testing requirements before any reservation is accepted.

What's the difference between the hay meadows and the seed plots?

Hay is cut for forage — baled by cut and cure. Seed plots grow for the seed itself: isolation distances, varietal purity, later harvest windows and cleaning. The same grass species appears in both parcels because forage and seed are different products with different protocols.

Can buyers get documentation with a lot?

Yes — variety, parcel, harvest date and test results where applicable (including THC certificates on licensed lines) travel with the lot. Seed-plot lots include purity and germination data where the sale requires it.

Do you sell direct to consumers?

We're a grower, not a storefront — sales run to processors, distributors, co-ops and licensed buyers. Maple syrup and specialty lines may be available in smaller lots seasonally; ask and we'll tell you honestly what a parcel can spare.
